One of My Favorite Things: Amaryllis

Introduce fresh flowers as part of your holiday decor this year.  But how about giving the poinsettias and Christmas Cactus the season off?  One stunning floral accent? Amaryllis.

I poked my head into several shops over the weekend to breathe in the beautiful scents and admire the seasonal plants and flowers. One boutique was filled with the most beautiful white amaryllis.

Here are a few ideas of arranging your amaryllis:

  • Cut the stems short and cluster in bunches in varying heights using mason jars or collected empty glass jars from condiments or pasta sauce.
  • Leave them in their planting medium and place the container into a decorative pot.
  • Place into tall vases with a bit of wispy white pine and winterberry.
